I signed up at retailer (paid $8) yesterday (2024-10-30), activated the line today and still pending the port-in.

Now I saw Main Balance: $8.00 (I assumed this is the $8 promo for new sign up), Renews on 2024-11-30 and I have enabled the Auto-Recharge.

So I don't have to recharge the line untill 2024-12-30, and from now onwards i can purchase the topup from Shopee anytime, is that correct?

You signed up at retailer to port in? If so, would have been activated for you already, thus the $8 credit.

just signed up too. using it in tablet so its a data only plan. seems decent. 10gb for apac roaming is very generous. intend to buy another data sim only plan when travels on my main device.. when back from trip then can let it auto terminate. like those shopee esim cards.

Port in another line the other day, process was smooth as silk.

Decided to just use the regular plan for my iPad with a physical SIM, since the data roaming allowance is more than I need presently. Most probably get a Malaysia DiGi eSIM instead.

I received the SIM on last Thursday. Activated on Friday afternoon. But till now still not ported in yet...
My current redOne new billing cycle soon (1Nov)... I will be charged for another $10.90 if still not ported out by then...

Finally got ported-over last night. Luckily they worked during PH .

Full details:
- Applied online @ 21 Oct
- Received SIM via postal @ 24 Oct
- Activated @ 25 Oct
- Previous line cut-off around 10pm 31 Oct (Deepavali)
- Received SMS from eight stating port-in request successful @ 11.05pm 31 Oct. Resetting phone by toggling "Aeroplane mode". Connection working now. Yay!
