it is because VoLTE not enable when overseas. My phone also dunno why No VoLTE when overseas in Malaysia and China that caused me cannot call out. But at Singapore have VoLTE...
Primary suspect is phone issue
VoLTE enabled when overseas leh :(

Even if you are in a designated VoLTE roaming area, VoLTE service may not completely cover all locations within the periphery, depending on performance of VoLTE networks run by local operators. Roaming service will automatically switch to 2/3G, or other technologies, in locations not covered by a VoLTE network.

Comparing eight $8 plan and Zym, my wife and child use one each. Now thinking which way should I port-in to. I’m waiting for my expensive M1 contract to end in January.

I think main advantage for eight is having IDD calls included. While Zym offers 5G.

Just wondering if I can collect a replacement sim at the service centre if I didn't receive the sim card at the mail box? Anyone knows? I actually did a port in last week on Monday (9 Dec) but yet to receive the sim and will need to use the new sim by next week. It's kinda weird that I placed my first order (new number) (8 Dec) and able to receive the sim within 4 days but not for port in number. Thanks for your help

Even if the network you’re connected to supports VoLTE, doesn’t mean you’ll get the service. Hard truth.

Can I check whether anyone has any issue receiving the google verification code? Doesn't seem to be able to receive the code today (other OTPs working fine though).

I agree with you mostly is phone issues like those Chinese ones need to have VOLTE enabled/disabled by code

I haven't been able to receive google verification code sms, anyone else has the same problem?
I checked my eight account settings and it isn't blocking overseas SMS.
Also checked my phone settings and it isn't blocking either.
Change to another card. Forget about 8, it wont work.

No issues receiving google sms from day 1 and just now. Probably your donor Telco screwed up during the porting to Eight or some other weird reason.

Thanks for the response. Actually I ported over quite some time ago. Managed to get the verification code on 4 Dec. But somehow now it's not working. I will probably try again tomorrow or something.

Anyone has issues doing port in. My hubby cannot do since yesterday, keep getting error at the last step payment page.

IMHO.
I had issues with with roaming partners for Simba, Eight and Heya in MY. :ROFLMAO:
There is a high probability that the issue lies with the phone if it encounters problems with multiple service providers. In my case, switching to a different provider's SIM card resolved the issue, even at the same location.

IMHO.
Good to have muliple phones and service providers. I went in with 6 phones and 5 providers. 🤣
