So it just seems that port in sign-up is required during the period. Doesn't say anything about activation date.

I went to a retailer and initiated 2 port ins. The temp lines are already active and useable and $8 credits already in. Port in have not complete yet.

Simba during my recent trip, at JB, KL and Padang Besar in malaysia, network partner was Celcom, no Volte was available.

Simba roaming partner at Hatyai was DTAC, no Volte was available as well.

In conclusion, without Volte, outgoing IDD calls are unavailable. To overcome, is having Simba Voice App.

Today, I went to port in my starhub line to eight at 1pm in one of their sim pickup point. Process is smooth, once registered and activated, a temp number is assigned and $8 is immediately credited in my account.

Same day 10.20pm, received sms port in successfully. Test calling in/received all work. Speedtest for eight is almost comparable to my previous line. Very smooth transition. Maybe because both providers are starhub.

And I notice, I have consume 2 sms which I cannot recognised the number show in the my account sms transaction log. I am sure that I have not sent any sms. Does anyone know why (ghost sms)?

Probably backend use SMS to activate the line lor

Correct.
In future, just top up Main Balance will do.
Ensure auto recharge function is turn on.

Auto recharge function by default is on, just kiasu double check.

you can check. On your account page, under usage, you can see who you sent sms to

I can't make any calls in Vietnam either to SG number or Vietnam number, roaming on, data is working, volte on. Is this normal?

Vietnam has volte, just that starhub has not launch this service with them

iphone? if yes then likely is facetime and imessage activation.

My phone is samsung A73. I think it trigger by their internal system around the time i insert the sim card when I try the check the temp number is activate and my number port in is successful
