should be eight problem. ever since data is shared SG/MY. dec went MY no such issue, can even get 5G signal very stable. now set 4G auto, 5G auto, restart phone.....majority of the time is "E". Worst is that try calling also can't work too (becos no VoLTE????).

zero1 with strong 5G signal no problem....

agree speed is not as good, maxis is no longer smooth when going over the weekend

but in term of coverage, should the reason really be on eight end, but then signal wave should not drop till cant get signal

took awhile to hop on the alternate, at least can run smoothly for normal use

note, using zero1 on maxis no issue so it is confirmed eight n maxis agreement problem.

Hwinsiders all working for Zym ah? Why always trolling eight users haha. I'm still with eight and perfectly happy customer with the coverage and network. Tho I don't siao onz top up that much, just top up once when there's 1-1 promo as there are certain months I'm away from SG don't even need to renew as I have Simba for international roaming too.

I am on celcom network right now, trying to register to celcomdigi, but accidentally choose celcom.

Managed to connect to Digi 50216. Ping 105ms not that great. VOLTE is available though unlike Maxis.

Is that a reasonable expectation when network traffic is routed back to Singapore thence to its final destination?

Have you tested other offers from other Singapore MVNOs and MNOs when roaming in Malaysia to measure ping times to a variety of destinations at the same time(s) of day? How do they compare? And if hypothetically you got 17% lower ping times how would that change your life for the better? Would it be worth the difference in price?

Most people prioritize coverage. They want a “good enough” signal wherever they go. Consequently having 3 network roaming partners in Malaysia is great news. Whether an app download over a mobile network takes 34 or 46 seconds (for example) is much less important. Being able to get a phone call or a WhatsApp message in or out from a parking garage in KL (for example) is more important.
