Started getting laggy experience again this evening when data roaming across the bridge. Ran speedtests and found the latency has increased to around 140ms.

Singtel remains impressive with latency still around 30+ms.

I hate to say that Singtel is making Sg and My feel like one country again!
Your Singtel is what line? Got foc Malaysia roaming?

Depends on you
The lazy man way is the day before the trip, just purchase the $11.80 plan
After the trip, you can purchase the $8.00 plan to revert back and the 30 days billing cycle kicks in on the day of purchase.

if my plan ends today 25 May and i have bought new $8 plan to start on 26 May. I want to change the new plan to $11.80 can? If i go recharge the $11.80 will it replace the current $8 plan or it'll queue behind to start 30days from 26 May?

Aren't plan changes effective immediately? How did you buy a new $8 plan to start tomorrow?

Will replace when you upgrade.

  • What eight plans can I change to? Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?
    • Learn more about our plans here.
    • Change plan can be done via eight account or simply head down to our eight retailers/ service centre.
    • Your latest entitlements will take effect as soon as you upgrade. For downgrade, your plan will take effect after your current cycle of plan ends.

Likely have to pay again $11.80 to change.
$8 will be forfeited.

Yuppppppppp, that's how it similarly works for SIMBA too IIRC.
Fastest way to verify is if you are in town/heading to CEE/near service centres, then check it out with Eight since it's not stated clearly too.
I've read in TnCs somewhere, can't remember Eight or Simba, no refund whatsoever.
