From eight website faq:

  • I accidentally removed my eSIM, how can I restore my eSIM?
    • Oh no! Your eSIM is one-time use and will not be re-downloadable. Please provide the following for authentication at helpme@eight.com.sg and we will generate the QR for you:
    • Name as per NRIC
    • Last 4 digits of NRIC
    • Telco where you ported from (applicable only if you are porting in)
    • Date of Birth
    • Date of transaction
    • Eight mobile number
    • Email address with registration:

Oh.. they can't be contacted on phone huh?
I already email them... Hope they reply in less than a day
MVNO usually no manpower to have hotline, cut costs by having automated/AI replies or 1 person handling all the whatsapp support

The fastest and fuss-free way is to go down to one of their service centers. Ubi, Clementi, Lucky Plaza. Double-check on their website coz I'm only sure of the 1st two.

If it's urgent, like the others have said, their email replies are incredibly slow. The worst part is if they ask more questions, you'll have to wait for a second email reply before they issue your eSIM. It's much faster to just go to a service center; if there's no queue, you can get your eSIM in 3 minutes.

yes if im not wrong i never saw 4g+ on the poco. but definitely yes on the redmi
That is strange, my Poco M3 have 4G+ though. So in theory, your newer M6 should have it too unless Poco downgrades M series connection subsequently. Poco M6 has Mediatek Helio G91 Ultra chipset and it does support 4G+ anyway.

next time don't get esim
It’s not that simple. eSIMs are often a good idea if you travel, want the flexibility to install physical SIMs from elsewhere, and your phone doesn’t support more than one physical SIM. Also, there are a few devices (such as iPhones purchased in the U.S.) that no longer support physical SIMs. Your next device might be similar.

Moreover, the potential for replacing an eSIM without any physical needs can be useful — especially if you travel.

Not really, I bought data esim for japan travel, reach there realised either no reception or on/off, then realised my phone doesn't have all the bands for KDDI, can't switch esim to another phone.

End up buy another esim for another phone for immediate use

If i have physical data sim for travel, easily switch to other phone if poor or no reception

Both Apple and Google are improving the ability to move eSIMs between phones. Apple already supports moving eSIMs between iPhones, and in iOS 26 (the next release in September, 2025) Apple is adding the ability to move eSIMs between iPhones and Android devices. (This is the technical capability. Carriers still need to cooperate in letting customers move eSIMs between devices on their own.)

Also, how would you buy a physical SIM to get data service in Japan before you get to Japan? Realistically that's only with an eSIM, or at least it's a lot easier with an eSIM. (You can shop for them on esimdb.com, for example.) That's an advantage, the convenience. This added convenience didn't work out for you with your particular device, but some people have appropriate devices and appreciate the convenience. (Or they pick an eSIM that roams onto a different carrier in Japan that works better with their particular device.)

Yes, you can. But there are some advantages with eSIMs. There are pros and cons with both. For example, if you lose your phone (the one with your physical SIM) while in Japan then it'll take quite a while before you can get a replacement SIM since you probably can't get one in Japan. With an eSIM you have at least the possibility to obtain a replacement while abroad.

"Pick your poison," basically.
