I have 5 lines of zym for more than 1 year. Signed 8 because they have lots of nice numbers and when in jb, network not good, so want to port to zym

I ported from zym to eight late last year because I'm always not getting reliable network on trains.

Lately however, eight is also not that reliable. Headache.. o_O

all telcos same problem on mrt. if you want reliable, then take bus.
You reminded me the time when people used to hold their phones high walking around looking for a (better) connection. :s13:

Most reliable, walk.

To change new phone with the eight eSim, we would have to go down to the Service Center for the new eSim replacement for the new phone? This is the only way?

Not true at all, eight was so much more reliable for me on the DTL as compared to zym until only recently. The problem with eight only surfaced recently and randomly.

you can take the bus all you want. I'm taking the train with a reliable network.

I ported over from m1 realise m1 infrastructure sux for many decades.

At home and outside west area: 8 has full bar and 100-200mbps
M1 has 2 bars and 10-30mbps

ST and SH can say they are superior than 8 but M1 can’t say that.

I guess maybe also depending on phone model

I got 8 in XM 13T on Dimensity and redmi 13 pro Snapdragon, always use together

Side by side, 13T always connected to 4g+, 13 pro 4g only. 4g+ data very fast weekdays 7am-8am from JE mrt to CL BV to macpherson to DTL tamp east

Seems like Snapdragon or whatever modem with it more lousy in sg

I like your thinking! Two more bus advantages:
  • Some buses have charging ports.
  • You get more free Wi-Fi opportunities as you pass by coffee shops and other establishments. Especially when traffic is heavy.

Yes, maybe the phone model matters and everyone has different experience.

It also depends on which train line we take. It is really possible to have reliable network service on DTL and TEL on some MVNOs.

At the same time, network congestion at major MRT interchange stations like Jurong. Serangoon, Outram etc. are all perfectly understandable.
