I've decided to take the gamble and do a port to simba. Hope it get processed even though I have already registered for eight on my dad redone app account and he received the sim card and was asked to go eight service center. Shall see what happen before Tuesday.

My dad went to port into eight yesterday, seems to work, but Kow tell me cannot make or receive calls. I want to log into eight account to see also cannot, cos not receiving sms. Now only can write into their email cos no other way to connect with him other than service center. Damn cui sia.

1. Take out the sim card... check for any scratches on the metal portion.
2. re-insert the sim card and re-start the phone. Should be ok.

And go setting... network> sim management... check ur sim card number whether tally anot etc.

Went to retailer sign up...took about 5 mins. signed $5 senior plan , but was given $10.80 5g plan :giggle:
It doesn't work that way, if you were given $10.80 plan though paying only $5 (a mistake made by the staff accidentally?), it could mean you will be charge $10.80 for the subsequent plan charges, you may like to check with Eight of the situation instead?

I wonder how many service center you had done really works
Zero, cause no balls bang table.

Zero, cause haven't encounter such stuff yet.

Either way, talking face to face sometimes can be more beneficial than waiting for someone to email you back then repeat the whole song and dance.

What is the phone used? Where are the locations you frequent?

By right StarHub/M1 shared 5G network coverage is not that bad, only slightly worse than SingTel 5G network.

I got StarHub Prepaid S 5G plan (legacy plan which is not longer offered, S$3 per month special offer for Happy Prepaid Migration in Nov 2025) and usually it can connect to 5G SA here in the west area. Yes it will drop to 4G in the lift or some other places but most of the time it will connect to 5G SA. I am using Poco X7 Pro.

I can even get 5G SA connection for difficult EWL underground MRT stations. The speed is not fast (much slower than my Singtel S$15.28 main line) but still pretty usable.

Not sure if 7am to 7:10am on Friday morning is considered as peak hour or not.

No issues with EWL City Hall to Outram Park MRT (underground MRT stations) with my Poco X7 PRO phone, using StarHub Prepaid S plan (not the latest plan, S$3 per month special migration offer for Happy Prepaid Card users back in Nov 2025, usual price at S$10 per month, this plan is no longer available for new users).

The speed is not fast but pretty usable.
