Those using the 5G plans on eight mobile, do you get VoLTE or Vo5G icon on your phone ? Thanks .

Do APAC and International roaming data get rollover on 5G+ plans? Or just the local data gets rollover?

lucky for existing 4G users, we get to keep the lowest price 4G plan.

and since all the new users are not going to be able to share the 'cake' of 4G anymore. We get to enjoy the cake on our own.

if go to app, click 'recharge' can still see some of the old plans.

There are probably enough users using eight S$8 4G plan and S$5 Senior 4G plan to keep eight 4G plan busy and congested...

Anyway, our eight plan is only for backup and occasional roaming usage, so we will stick to the eight S$8 4G plan until the credit running out in another 13 months. S$88 for 22 month (effective price S$4 per month) is well worth the money due to one to one top-up offer.

That sounds like de-prioritisation. Can connect to the network, but in a congested area connections are pushed back in the queue to favour users with more priority cos they pay more.

Did you toggle airplane to see if it may help by reconnecting? How about dropping to 4G?

My workplace orchard area office hours usually fine. I reckon tonight a little cranky the network.

Singtel vs starhub n28 head to head

Managed to find a spot inside a Chinatown shop house where ST and SH both had almost the same signal strength on n28.

Singtel Priority L plan

Eight $10.8 value 5G plan

Quite disappointed with Singtel, despite having more spectrum on n28 and although I had "4x Priority" while being on the cheapest and lowest priority 5G plan possible, starhub's speed was almost 5x faster while having 2/3 idle latency.

Double confirmed that my phone did not use NR CA. Result was on pure n28 SA.

New Eight plan is on 5G+

One of the biggest differences between 5G and 5G+ is the addition of 700MHz low-band spectrum. 5G+ gives additional spectrum and capacity to improve your experience across more locations and situations!

eight 5G has 700MHz band before this 5G+ thingy.

But 5G+ is a good marketing for Starhub and Singtel (Singtel 5G+ = 5G SA + 700 MHz band).

BTW, 700MHz band has better coverage but lower speed.

5G plan had been replaced by 5G+ plan @ same pricing. There had removed 4G plan (for new users), existing still can continue enjoying it.

the cheapest 12 month plan 5G+ is not too bad. average per month is also 8 dollar
