For those on your 5G+ plan, will it show 5G+ in your network icon?

iPhones usually do not show 5G+ icon in general, no matter for Singtel 5G+ or Starhub 5G+.

Mine shows 5G+ after upgrading my Samsung S26 Ultra to UI 9.0.

I clicked to upgrade plan on Eight App last week from 5G to 5G+ scheduled for 10 Oct but it appears now.

But your iPhone will not show 5G+ icon, only 5G icon, right?

700 MHz has better coverage, looks like Starhub now has more wider deployment of 700 MHz band to launch this 5G+ marketing thingy.

Yes. However when going to connections > mobile networks, you will no longer see "use 5G standalone networks" selection anymore.

Take note Xiaomi phone's 5G+ icon may mean different thingy.

For my Poco X7 Pro, for either Starhub Prepaid S legacy 5G plan and SingTel S$15.28 5G+ plan, it shows the following icon based on carrier aggregation.

5G+: 5G SA with Carrier Aggregation (usually 2CC or 3CC)
5G: 5G SA without Carrier Aggregation
4G+: 4G LTE with Carrier Aggregation
4G+: 4G LTE without Carrier Aggregation

You can check whether your Xiaomi phone revert to 5G icon at weak signal locations (less likely to have 5G Carrier Aggregation).

I just upgraded from the $8 plan to "5G+ Ultra ($14.80)" for 1 month just for use in CN. When I click "recharge" I still can see the old $8 plan.

n78 will be much faster and it is the main 5G band for SingTel and StarHub/M1 5G network.

Early test reports of n28 band deployment for StarHub 5G network (eight 5G line) on 05-Jan-2026.

1) n28 alone: 10MHz bandwidth, 5G download speed at 80.40 Mbps.

2) n1+n28 2CC carrier aggregation: 35MHz bandwidth, 5G download speed at 175.00 Mbps.

3) n78+n1+n28 3CC carrier aggregation: 135MHz bandwidth, 5G download speed at 332.38 Mbps.

There are also earlier reports in this thread about 700 MHz n28 band deployment by StarHub by eight 5G users.
