I collected my sim card at a mobile shop near Bukit Gombak MRT. I just pass to him my email with the activation code and he issued the sim card to me. No need IC cos your details should be already in the system when you sign up using SingPass.Hi all, collect sim card at pickup point need to show ic to the staff there before activate the sim card or no need? Any of you sucessfully port out the phone number within few days after activated the sim card?
I successfully done it once few months ago without kena penalty $20. Don't know now can or not? Please share your recent early port out experience.
Thank you.
Thank you for the useful info.Eight termination within the cycle can be done, so using same analogy port out should not be block as you have prepaid the amount already
The line is considered activated from accounting point.¨When you sign up via esim, it is activated immediately,¨
could you please clarify the process in more details, as per my experience on other esim service, the QR code is the only way to activate the number .
From my experience recently it wasn't immediate tho.. I had to wait two hours lol ..tot smth wrong with my phone...The line is considered activated from accounting point.
Scanning QR code is required to add the line to your phone, if you don't scan, the line is not attached to your phone, but the billing already started.
As of today, still can select the $8 plan for next auto-recharge.I'm currently using $8 plan. Next month I plan to change to $14.80 plan because I'll be going to China and wanted to use the roaming.
Once I'm back from China, can I change my plan back to $8? Is it doable?
Also, have you used Portable Hotpot(need to insert sim card) to roam before, does it work?
As of today, still can select the $8 plan for next auto-recharge.
No idea if it will still be there when you're back from China.
I'll be going China soon too and have set my auto-recharge for next cycle to the $11.80 Fortune plan which should have more than enough roaming data for the trip.
I'll set auto-recharge back to the $10.80 Power+ plan when the recharge occurs.
Likewise, perhaps you can set yours back to the $8 plan soonest possible just in case it disappears.
Just noticed also that the backend has auto-updated our ongoing $10.80 Value plan to the corresponding $10.80 Power+ plan.
I just now changed my dad's plan to 5G+ $6.80 Senior Plan. The speed is much much faster than 4G.maybe check the eight app?
for my dad's senior plan, it continues to auto renew to 4G plan, no need to change to new 5G plan

Remind me of the turbo button on the old PCsI just now changed my dad's plan to 5G+ $6.80 Senior Plan. The speed is much much faster than 4G.
Also, there's an option to fall back to old 4G plan at $5 after 1 month.
