Looks like a glitch then. Indeed even the old S$8 4G plan and the S$5 Senior 4G plan are entitled for local data rollover.

https://www.eight.com.sg/help/mobile/

I am on the $8 Double Eight plan / $8.80 NEW Double Eight plan - what happens to my plan?

You can continue recharging on your existing legacy plan or switch to our new 5G+ plans. If you have enabled auto-topup (ATU) and have a saved credit card / wallet balance, your plan will renew as usual with no action needed. If you’re interested to enjoy speedier service with 5G+ and more roaming, simply upgrade to our 5G+ Power Plan with 588GB 5G+ speeds at just $10.80/month!

Can new customers switch to eight’s old plans?
No. New customers who sign up from 24 September get to enjoy our NEW 5G+ plans starting from $10.80! It’s the best value 5G+ plan in town.

How much data can I roll over?

There is no expiry date on your data rollover balance, but it is capped at a maximum of 8 months’ worth of your current plan’s entitlements. For example, the Fortune eight plan allows a maximum data bank cap of 5,504GB.

PLANLOCAL DATA ENTITLEMENTMAX ROLLOVER
SENIOR PLAN528 GB4,224 GB
DOUBLE EIGHT PLAN528 GB4,224 GB
NEW DOUBLE EIGHT PLAN588 GB4,704 GB
5G FORTUNE EIGHT PLAN688 GB5,504 GB
5G VALUE EIGHT PLAN528 GB4,224 GB
5G LUCKY EIGHT PLAN788 GB6,304 GB
5G TRIPLE EIGHT PLAN888 GB7,104 GB
5G+ SENIOR PLAN528 GB4,224 GB
5G+ POWER PLAN588 GB4,704 GB
5G+ LIFE PLAN688 GB5,504 GB
5G+ ULTRA PLAN788 GB6,304 GB
5G+ SUPREME PLAN888 GB7,104 GB
From the info, i guess Eight is adjusting old $8 plan from 588gb to 528gb but happened to remove rollover data by mistake. Including some other old plans adjustment too i think.

while one can never even finish one month of quota, the rollover is totally meaningless. :ROFLMAO:
Since it comes free, i definitely dont mind, it also gives one the incentives to try ways of using the data more. Also, an added piece of mind that you are fully stocked with data. 😀

Noticed my $11.80 5G Fortune plan also says "including 0 KB rollover" for APAC and Intl roaming data.
Thought there's no rollover for the lower end legacy 5G plans?

Meanwhile, likewise for my other family members' $10.80 5G+ Power plan - previous text has been updated with "0 KB".

For the time being disregard your plan profile info, I think Eight is doing some corrections to the users' profile. My missing rollover data is reinstated. I think for old Double Eight Plan of 528gb instead of 588gb will be implemented with immediate effect as I recalled I should have around 1.023TB or something like that, not 1.01TB.

Now the app shows rollover local data.

My eight S$8 plan has 3.08 TB local data (including 2.57TB rollover).

Useless though...

With the speed of eight 4G plan, even using with a 4G LTE SIM router, it is difficult to finish the rollover local data...

Using the 5G plan with a 5G SIM router (Fibre Broadband replacement) may be a good use case if you got good speed at your location.

I beg to differ, Eight 4G speed during non-peak period hovering between 70mbps to 150mbps, u can see i am left with 500+gb rollover. 😀

I did a speed test just now.

Yeah it’s back.

They reinstated the rollover data for 4g. They also updated the 5g+ international data rollover details to include data usage information.

Looks like a glitch for update… they should have done it during 12am to 5am time, less people kanchiong.

4G plans do not show this 0KB thingyfor APAC and Intl roaming data.

It could be eight will implement roaming data rollover for the 5G plans (including legacy 5G plans and new 5G+ plans).

Reference: eight is probably learning from competitors.

hi! by SingTel (SingTel hi! Postpaid) now only got 5G+ for new users upon initial sign-up or port-in. They have local data, roaming data and IDD rollover.
https://www.singtel.com/personal/products-services/mobile/hi

Unused data, roaming & IDD roll over for up to 6 months

Hope so - still waiting for someone, anyone, to actually see something other than 0 KB for APAC and Intl rollover
(other than those on high-end plans).

the Q&A only stated that 5G+ plan got rollover for roaming data. Not applicable to 5G or 4G plan.

eight 5G+ claims
https://www.eight.com.sg/mobile/

5G+5G+
+ CoverageNationwide 5G connectivityEnhanced coverage that reaches more indoor and underground locations
+ SpeedFast 5G speedsUp to 4x faster speeds with additional network capacity
+ CapacityDesigned to support high network demandGreater capacity for better performance where more people are connected
+ Indoor experience5G coverage where availableStronger connectivity in more indoor and harder-to-reach spaces
+ Everyday experienceFast browsing, streaming and downloadsA smoother, more consistent connected experience

Not sure where this 4x speed comes from?

700 MHz band helps the coverage but not speed.

giga 5G plan users also got 5G+ since 15 Oct 2026.

https://www.giga.com.sg/blog/5g-plus

5G+

giga speeds and greater roaming arrive with 5G+ on 15 October 2026, and you don't have to lift a finger for either. 5G+ brings faster, steadier 5G to basement car parks, lift lobbies and deep MRT platforms, where it's always struggled and your connection gives out just when you need it. On the same day, Asia Roam grows from five countries to 24 on selected plans, so more trips run on included roaming data instead of an add-on pack.

...

Is 5G+ the same as 5G Standalone?

Standalone was the earlier change, moving the network onto a 5G core, which is what brought the response times down. 5G+ is the next step, adding 700MHz spectrum on top of that core.

How do I know if I am connected to 5G+?

You can't always tell from the screen yet, because some phones are still waiting on the software update that adds the 5G+ icon. A more reliable check is your setup: if you're on a giga 5G plan with a compatible phone and a standalone 5G SIM, your phone uses 5G+ wherever it's available. For a closer look, iPhones and Android phones both have a status menu with network details, though how you open it depends on your model.
