Highly recommend prospective buyers beware on-line shops with local showrooms selling ES and use genuine retailers with full service capabilities.

On-line shops provide many novelty items and are simply not set up to handle the complexities of motorized products. Warranties are next to useless, E.G. 3 months for motor and controllers so if chain or frames breaks these not covered.

Ordering parts can be a nightmare as "no stock" standard reply. Must wait 3-6 weeks for replacements (if lucky) so your scooter cannot use.

Normal wear and tear items such as brake pads, cables, locking handles, etc must also wait as they say "cannot stock every single part".

If no parts available then you are 100% screwed #@$%

Tyres and some accessories can get on-the-spot because they make money.

So if considering to buy use dedicated scooter retailers that provide 12 month warranties (min) and servicing if you not mechanically minded :s22:

Interested to get feedback on this and the pending Land Transport Authority (LTA) public consultation (now closed) and the set up of an expert panel to look into rules governing personal mobility devices.

These include devices such as motorized bicycles and wheelchairs, and electric kick scooters. The 14-member panel is being headed by Parliamentary Secretary for Transport Muhammad Faishal Ibrahim.

I'm a disabled user (leg amputee) and find these great for local commutes to the coffee-shop, markets, and some long distance runs. Anyone else get black/red face  stares as you pass by??

Not too late to write your MP if you eager to see some commonsense laws applied.
