The artificial part is honestly a pointless argument. What really matters is scarcity, which btc has.
rate of discovery is also important, but I’ll leave that for another day.
sure gold has intrinsic value, but it’s definitely trading way above its intrinsic value.
lastly, yes, gold is a recognized store of value. But that’s because of its scarcity value and thousands of years of humans obsession with shiny stuff.
btc is smart in the sense that it mimics a lot of gold properties, except for the shiny part. I’m 100% sure humans will converge on a crypto as an alternative to gold. May not be btc, but will be a crypto for sure

if someone tweak the code and generate unlimited BTC it will plunge to 0.000001

It's inert properties and gold electrical conductivity has it's usefulness.

like you said, government hold gold as reserves to backup their currencies and business activities drives the prices of gold.
