as long as u have self control, and pay bills on time... cc is useful... otherwise, yes dont bother with cc...

got cashback/points/miles... thats how u maximise the dollars...
A group of ppl I know loves cc. Always buy on installments.

Their logic : Pay min every month and I can afford many good things in life, eg the latest IPhone 16, that Nintendo switch for my kids, Ninja cookware for my parents. Simple and affordable so long I can make payment every month, no sweat!

Obviously this writer is just trying to show off that she is unique bcos she is Not going with the society norm and bcos she is "rich" enough not to use the credit card.

By doing so, she has just exposed her shallow thinking and stupidity.

If you are able to use the credit cards to your advantage, ie pay up on time, there is no issue at all. Forgetting to pay is a lousy excuse because you always need to pay your bills and all anyway.

You can set reminders or even the autopay function.

If you are able to control yourself to spend within your means, why are you not able to do the same with a credit card? Why is it with cash you ads able to do so and not with a card?

Obviously an user issue. Not a unique ability but just plain stupidity

In my life, I only know of 1 adulthood that does that.

But I think for such people, giving them monthly salary also can screw up one. No need credit card.

not a matter of having credit card or not.

it is a matter of control to get the wants or needs.

I mainly use the credit card for supermarket purchases. hardly ever spent on any discretionary items in SG liao.

Well, when the bank knows that yu have an obsence amount of cash parked insai, their RM will auto offer a black kard without annual fee.

No question asked, even yu dont want it, they will say its free.

On the other hand, the ease of accessing to easy credit can be a bane too. Not difficult to see all these transactions of cash advance, clumped at a certain industry.

lol, this article is self-validating and assuming that anyone who uses credit card will be spending aimlessly.
jokes.

if you know how to game the credit card system, it can help you to save money and even grow money.

what rubbish is this. I've been using credit cards for so many years. I set my payments on giro and pay in full every month. its the user not the tool that is the problem here.
