Choose to visit? Both. Rockefeller center has a big outdoor skating rink. Quite cool (literally). It also has some awesome statues of Prometheus and Atlas, which make good photo ops.

But if you had to choose 1, the Empire State Building is probably more iconic and famous, and is a great choice.

Top of the Rock. The view's better and it's a hell of a lot less crowded.

Rockefeller is under rated so you get a better view. Empire is way too overrated.

Was on top of both 3 weeks back. Honestly, both felt the same. But i suggest u go up one in the daytime and the other at nighttime.

Good picture taking moments.

Or u could buy a New York Pass and visit both buildings for a low price.

Went to both. Top of the Rock has a better and less obstructed view.

I'm with this if you can only choose one...empire state is overrated.
