Encounter BSOD after repeated Windows Update Failed

Im still using this age old dinosaur.....
Specs ----->>>>
I had been having this Windows Update fail for like 5 to 6 months.
Im not bothered about it until recently when I encountered BSOD.
and frequent freezes to my system.

My memory.dmp file is about 388k.

Can anyone help look into whats wrong w my system?

I hardly play games, only use my PC for youtube n office.

Does it BSOD when you are installing windows ( which version )

Attach your dump files so people will know what went wrong?

No dump files then the only way is to reformat PC.

Dont bother doing chkdsk and etc useless one.

Im using win 8.1n 64bit. Installation that time was smooth. After a few month, then i start to get windows update fail. I never bothered abt this since i can still surf n watch my hkdrama n live stream soccer.
Then 2 days ago....start to hv system freeze n encountered one bsod.

You are using the default setting, please change the option to "small memory dump" instead on "kernel dump" under Advanced system settings">Startup and Recovery"

The default kernel memory dump will create a dump name memory.dmp reside in C:\Windows, any new dump will overwrite the existing (if any) dump and you can't track when the problem arise or BSOD history of the system. Small memory dump will create a unique date dump for every BSOD and reside in C:\Windows\minidump.

In most cases, it's better to debug a minidump compared to full memory dump which doesn't provide any tangible benefit for debugging the fault. With a complete list of minidump (if any), you can trace back all the way from the first BSOD to the latest, if same fault happened on all BSOD, you found the absolute culprit.

Anyway, i had changed the setting as below.

It had happened before but there was no dump file created.

This time there is a dump file created. Size 145kb.

I tried to open using wordpad but it says access denied.

The culprit is unlikely to be Chrome.exe because Chrome did not appear in the stack. The stack looks like multiple attempts to recover from race/overflow condition and finally gave out the BSOD.

If chrome is the culprit, it should (usually) show up the in the stack at early stage. The stack is reading from the bottom to the top. Hence, Chrome should either at 2rd or 3rd row and not nt!KiExceptionDispatch+0xc2 and nt!KiDispatchException+0xe5 instead.

Can try several approach:

1) Clean the gold contacts on all ram module and graphic card
2) Run memtest86 to determine the health status of the ram modules
3) Remove all the dust on the heat sink and apply a new coat of thermal paste, if circumstances allowed, clean the GFX card too.
4) Pray hard

I had been having this Windows Update fail for like 5 to 6 months.
Im not bothered about it until recently when I encountered BSOD.
and frequent freezes to my system.
