Keen to start but considering still. 0.4% on 100k portfolio is like $400p.a quite a lot of fees. I'm looking at 30 years horizon so not sure if this is the right fit. Even if I go for this, will probably take 100% equity

Important to note that 0.4 is just the part going to Endowus. There is also 0.43 that will go to DFA for management of the fund.

Total expense for a SRS full equity portfolio is 0.83%

Nope, Endowus has to work with the CPF approved funds. Dimensional/DFA is NOT a CPFIS approved fund manager.

If cannot get 2.5% compounded interest at super low risk. Then CPF is a clear choice.
Not to forget current situation is very dynamic. Anything can trigger a war.

Cpf super long investment horizon... Why care about short term market volatility when your money is stuck inside anyway?

Why do you think war is bad for the economy? In fact it's always good for the market after the initial fears. War simulate spending and thus the economy. Unless you are inside the warzone else you don't have to worry.

Aiya end of the day cpf investing is an extremely personal matter la. if one can't invest steadily without losing sleep at night, better to keep it at 2.5%. And forever let it grow at that rate!

depends on your investment horizon and risk appetite. maybe not all your CPF OA to be invested, but probably some percentage of the funds are not needed in the next 10 years?

Single guy living with parent... Next time buy BTO lor.

You see so many bloggers, "thought leaders", talk about financial independence but say things like treating cpf as bond portfolio, but srsly when market crash, will they have the guts to invest or not?

Last time buy STI now buy through Endowus, feel good to take ownership!

You all use cash for property?
