Anyone here invest in endowus using pure cash and never touch cpf and dca every month ?

Ive just withdrawn all my money from StashAway and planning to dump in endowus and then DCA every month.

so far how’s the return for those who invest purely cash? Which risk tolerance did you chose? General investing or fund smart?

I’m a total newbie at investing and this is why robo advisors attracted me.

Well. If you're a newbie, what are you basing your choices off?
Are you putting your money into portfolios based on advice from strangers on the internet?
Or perhaps picking portfolios that have outperformed (and therefore now run the risk of having more downside than upside)?

It may be worth your while to read up more about investing so you can have some confidence in whatever you decide to put your money in.

For SA,it was straightforward. I choose my risk tolerance and just dump money in every month. I thought that’s the point of roboadvisors, no tinkerings involved.

I’m just asking how’s the returns like for those who invest in Endowus using cash.

I think you need to ask yourself this question first - do you even know what and where StashAway is investing your monies into? Or Endowus if you intend to switch over, for the matter.

The two robos are fundamentally different in their offerings. StashAway is a psuedo-active fund manager that takes your money to make sector & geographic specific bets. Endowus (and MoneyOwl, since their core portfolios are largely the same) are largely on passive investing through the use of dimensional funds. They don't chop and switch investments every year. DFA portfolios are primarily tilted towards small cap, value and profitable stocks. Basically think of them as VWRA but with a tilt to small cap and value stocks.

It is not just about setting your risk tolerance and be done with it. These two robos cannot be any more different.

On a side note, i invested with cash (and CPF in their CPF portfolio) into Endowus at the start of the year with their core portfolio (S&P500 + Dimensional Funds). My returns to date was about 18%. I recently switched over to a customised single fund Dimensional Funds-only portfolio, since it is a) cheaper and b) Endowus inclusion of S&P500 into their equity portfolio does not sit well with me since it is overweighing abit too much on US growth stocks and US itself.

That’s the reason why I wanted to switch away from SA. I know both of them operates differently in where they park your funds at but fundamentally to me it is still passive investing for both in that I don’t need to actively monitor the market or time the market
