You only do overhaul when your engine broke down, do it for better FC? How long you gonna drive till breakeven, or by the time breakeven you'll need to overhaul again?

Avoid adding too much.

Once I was quite into addictive till somehow my fuel injector kinda affected and I keep getting error code "fuel too lean".......troubleshoot damn long till I replace fuel injector and problem solved.

Mind sharing how the engine oil additives affect your fuel injector?

I changed AT oil, tyres and added addictive for the first time..drove 80km and fuel guage shows 90% left...not sure how accurate...abit worry now.. still monitoring...

If you are so worried about FC you better off buying hybrid. 11 is perfectly fine.

usually adding too much addictive will confuse the O2 sensor. after driving awhile it should be back to normal if not reset to ECU to let it relearn to calibrate the MAF

Or get Diesel cars. Can do min 13-17 km/l. And diesel cost only $1.60/liter.

1.6 vs 1.5 Toyota engines. Didn’t expect so much difference.

Won’t help. Only way is to remove n clean. But doubt if mechs here do this. Most just replace

Does engine overhual helps to improve fc? How much for toyota? Thank bro.

Comparing by paying a high cost upfront on major overhual vs long term usage on current mileage cost = make no differences and no sense.

In the end, after overhaul there is no guarantee the fc will improve.
What worse will be other components &or parts may so give way.


Improve fc need to understand your driving habits.

Keep pressing on the accelerator before moving off is like pumping and wasting fuel.
Drive and stop continuously may also drain fuel consumption.
Short distance travel within city area and long distance highway do have differences in fc.
Going from point A to B without planning also waste fuel...
