Well if you are concern as to why you doing well for A Level but still ended up in May batch which I assume is the 2nd batch for jc cohort.....Hi just want to ask about my enlistment date. I am an A Level student that did quite well for my exams. I am posted to BMTC Tekong on 7 May. I am quite curious why I am enlisting for the May batch because a large proportion of my friends have enlisted in January or February. Does anyone know what the May batch mean because I heard something about some leadership enhanced batch.

There are people who did well for A level also ended up in the 2nd batch, so you are not special.
Both batches should also have enhanced leadership batch.
so dun worry if you want to go command sch

Nowadays or even during my days, Tekong also got Standard batches, meaning not leadership batch hence no SIT test so by right no chance to go command school.what about people who got posted to tekong even if their education is only O's or ITE? standard bmt? i always thought they separate people by the MAPAS test done during medical check up. just my 2 cent though.![]()

).Actually not that random given at least for enlistment will be jc cohort and poly cohortSAF is about mixing up people from different backgrounds, so that they can learn to work together.
If different batches only cater to specific 'types' of people, separated due to education, race, religion, etc, then no cohesive bonds will be formed (wait, that was not a chemistry lesson).

My brother is from ite but also receive letter to go tekong in May
Not just pes cWhat i heard is Jan/Feb are Pes C batches
1) You not knowing many other JC kids that's enlisting on that date ≠"rare few JC kids still around". It can just mean your social circle or people you know are very small. That's why I am worried. The bulk of my batch mates have already POP-ed and I am one of the rare few JC kids still around. I am PES B fyi and I heard that my intake would include poly students. So just curious why they placed me then. I want to try for command school so I hope that I am not in any way, disadvantaged.

second that.Do you have something against poly students?
The way you phrased your comment, it is as if you are afraid that, somehow, being surrounded by a poly cohort will sully your chances for command school.
Perfect attitude to be an officer.
SAF should issue you with chocolate bars right now.
