Any reason why you choose this model ?

It is okay if you don't require the fastest AF and physical dials among mirrorless cameras.

hmmm wanting to get it for a friend! ahaha so not really sure why though. i think most importantly is the interchangable lens that attracted my friend

If u have a patient friend who likes slow and so so autofocus then go ahead, the EOS M is a pc of crap compared to the DSLRs from Canon.

some shop selling $690. Best value, the lenses (22mm and 18-55) could be worth more than the value and can keep it for next eosm cam. Good lens is very important for good photo. you can set AF to Flexizone single, much faster. i always carry with only 22mm lens, take more and more fun.
