Surprising news.

But could potentially mark the arrival of Apple retail store + genius bar in the near future?

Ya, I believed QCD and other Apple authorized service provider will take over. Maybe too much complain and KPI not met?

Quite common for Brands to switch service provider if service standard not met or other issues, especially they had more than one authorized service provider whom can take over the operation easily.

I love eserv. I never had problems with them and their repairs usually only take 1 day.

Not sure if I can get such service at other providers :(

Got this on the Facebook. Those who got the membership from the esrve will need to find out from them. Wonder why they didn't write it on the eServ Facebook?

[Change in Apple Authorised Service Providers]

Please be informed that eServ will cease it's operations as an Apple Authorised Service Provider effective from 31st December 2013.

• 24th December will be the last day to receive any service requests from eServ @ Wheelock, 313@somerset & Ubi.

• 28th December will be the last day to accept service requests QCD @ FunanDLM & Tai Seng - collection of repaired units would be at Wheelock Place.

• 30th December - there will only be 4 service locations.
1. QCD@Wheelock
2. QCD@8 TradeHub 21
3. A.Lab@Plaza Singapura
4. A.Lab@Changi City Point

Both new locations for QCD@Wheelock & A.Lab@Plaza Singapura will service all products, including iPhones.

So means eserv at 313 no longer doing exchange Etc too
Hope crowds won't b too much to b handled
The other time when I wana replace mouse n check with Qcd they do not have ready stocks
Means must go ulu place to n fro to replace it

All I remember is that the service centre at sunshine plaza gave absolute shitty service.

This was despite recommendations that is was the best in SG on the now defunct macusersg. But all of this is ancient history... probably went there in 2007 or 08

QCD at tagore still counts as the best on my list.

what?! If the news is true, I would be very sad. eServ especially the somerset 313 branch is always my favourite place for applecare stuffs. I went QCD at tradehub21, tai seng and also the city hall one, the service is sucks and decided never go back again.

Actually eServ service is not as good as QCD. As far as I bring most of my customer Mac to service and a regular customer on eServ and QCD, QCD is because QCD office is not look as class, and the location is not as like orchard road, therefore feeling the service might not as good.
Example I went to eServ to customer MBP hdd cable is not working, and hdd is about to died. eServ change for part cost over $1800++, while the QCD engineer called me and said I have the pay the HDD cable and the HDD, they will waive the service charge and install the OSX for it. Total cost is 850 + GST. way cheaper then outside.
