Yah realised that as well. But i seldom need to restart so it's ok for me. There's a sensitivity adjustment above that grip option as well to play around with.

It seems to be a partial workaround rather than a fix to the touch latency lag.

i just update to 8.1 yesterday. notice there is no light when charging now. is it the same for you guys?

So i took the plunge and got the essential phone. Looks really pretty and feels premium.

However, I was just using it after setting it up last night when the SIM card got undetected. Had to pop the SIM tray out and in (restarting wouldn't work) before it got detected again.

The weird thing was when I was setting up yesterday, the screen didn't respond to touches if I stopped touching it for more than 3 seconds. Then I would have to off and on the screen before it would register touches again. It seemed to have gone away after updating to 8.1. But it's so worrying, definitely not a confident booster.

So what do you guys think? Is it a fully set? Should I return it? 😥😥😥

Touch unresponsive i encountered b4 upgrading to 8.1. But not like what u mention. Mine became unresponsive usually when using chrome but only happened once or twice. Off n on the screen clears the issue. Sim card didn't encounter b4. Maybe yours misaligned when sliding it in? They fixed a lot of issue in 8.1.

So i think u can use first n observe. If don't like then refund before the refund period is up.

u may want to adjust the screen sensitivity level to improve the touch screen sensitivity.

Settings > System > Developer Options > Touch Sensitivity

Thanks for the advice guys! Yeah I think I will use it for a while first and observe. I really do enjoy stock android. Been a while since Nexus 6p!

Any way to get the copper color ? So far it's on essential but shipping is within US only

Likely u will have to ship through forwarder. Or u can contact them n ask if they ship direct to sg. But i think shipping to sg yourself will not be cheap unless u have some discount or promo from the forwarder.

Tried 6 tempered glasses from 6 seller none of it will stay on my phone. Four of it the adhesive on the edges won't hold on to the phone and at time the corner cannot be detected, the other two because the phone has edges the screen protector will have bubble gap even after i applied the glass bubble liquid fix the gap will reappear
