Anyone facing sms "stuck" issue? I'm using singtel. My otp sms will not come in until a few hours later or i reconnect to singtel network.

Should be a while already. Only realised free days ago when i want to do iBanking. Might be singtel issue. I asked my friend using another phone also same issue.

I don't face this problem at all. SingPass, Wireless@SG and iBanking OTP works very well on my Essential phone with M1 network. The OTP sms came in almost immediate (within 5 seconds) after request. So should not be the phone issue.

ive compared it with my iphone and s8 on different location and they never lose even a single bar while my PH1 is like 80-90% and sometimes will drop to just 1 bar.

this phone's (or maybe just mine) wifi antenna isnt good. On my old phone i get complete wifi bars in the loo, but with my PH-1 i get half of it only. (40-60%,)

anyone having the same issue or is just me ?

Yah it's not as strong as other phones. Most notably when indoors. Wifi is just as good as my previous phones.

Are you on Android 8.1 Oreo?

one thing is the LTE download speed. this afternoon im at raffles area, tried it on my iPhone and speed was around 90mb while mh PH1 is just 19mb .

both on Singtel, PH1 bar is half and iPhone is full. That said, i still cant get full bar inside my flat but all other phones in house (iphones, s8, note 8) are getting full bars.

Same with wifi - i downloaded wifi analyzer app. sit in one of the coffee shop. with the same SSID -- my iphone/s8 is -54dbm @ 1.8m while my PH-1 is -65dbm @ 4.3m.

i dont give that much **** on wifi because its still fast but one thing im concerned is the dropping of network from time to time.

this morning, on my daily route to work, the network is up and down and intermittently losses the network (2-3 times).

overall, the phone is good. i love how clean is the OS.

I noticed weaker Wi-Fi strength signal after I updated to Android 8.1 but not on Android 7.

All your OTP SMS are delayed or only pertaining to certain organisations?

from various feedback, either change phone or change telco. Seems only singtel users with PH-1 are affected. rest of users with M1 or Starhub are not affected by this issue.

Just tried switching around the preferred network option. Selected LTE/CDMA. Seems to be more stable at my current indoor location. No disconnects from network and speed test achieved 154mbps download speed. My previous setting, i used 4g/LTE. it kept changing between bands causing disconnections from network. Still observing.
