Have you tried the Night Light feature? Go to Settings and search for "Night".

You can also install 3rd party app to manage the brightness.

April update is out. Got new option to play with the the notch area. Haven't tried yet.

Update: Some games/apps can now fully use the screen area. Grip rejection also stays off after phone reboots now.

Did a benchmark test with Antutu. Score for 8.1 improved to 192k, just behind s8. But looking at the ranking board, all devices have improved scores.

Good to have the option to make full use of the entire screen. Just that the graphic at the notch area can't bee seen. But not a big problem to me. If you dislike it, can always set back to "Essential Recommended" option.

If you are referring to screen protector and not tempered glass, most likely will be from online.

I will consider holding off and wait for the 2nd iteration of this phone. Nothing wrong with this phone but I think the new one should be releasing soon. This is just my guess though. Didn't see any news on the new version yet. But then ppl will say wait for the 3rd or 4th then...just my 0.0002 cents worth

Can users confirm that the stable 8.1 oreo update could not fix the reception issue? i.e. latency in receiving text messages. Especially Singtel users. I work in a place where reception is not strong so if it is worst than my current phone I'd probably not survive.

My reception and text messaging is fine after switching preferred network (See my post 1 page back). I don't have another phone to compare side by side so cannot comment on how the reception is when the area has weak signals.

and share roughly what are the average numbers in dBm you are getting usually?
