Frankly, there are too many of these social websites for trading/investing.

It's pretty much the same as any other trading sites/forums like this one.

You can join if you like.

Just keep your eyes open when other posts.

Like any other sites, there are good people, who's there to help, and trolls, who's there to destroy.

etoro's publicity campaign has resulted in its ads appearing on my social network feeds. looks interesting. such platforms - etoro/zulutrade - they're legal right? since i've read that etoro has offices and meetups in singapore even..

It's legal, but punting FX is a pretty awful way to make money. The reason you see so much advertising for it is that it's a huge moneyspinner for the brokers.

oh ok i see..yea punting fx manually is very time consuming for money to be made. that's why I thought etoro was attractive due to its copy trader function. after i signed up they said that to withdraw i'd need to submit passport and bill copies..which i feel a bit uncomfortable with as they're based overseas.

That's not what I meant - it's not that it's time-consuming, it's that you probably won't make money at all.

Retail FX trading is a mug's game. It's basically like going to the casino, if the casino could lend you 100x your money so you blow up a hundred times faster.

eToro's "copy trader" function just lets you outsource the blowuppage to someone else.

I uses this for dabbling in crypto trading.

Note that I think this uses CFD hence you don’t actually Lane the actual crypto currencies.

Has anyone done or come across with comprehensive comparison between Etoro and other more established international brokers like Ameritrade or Interactive Brokers.
Comparison like user friendliness, fee, commission, charges, maintenance charges, annual fee, requirement to trade like once a month, CS support, other pros and cons?

Generally i understand Etoro spread or charges is on the high side. But for retail investor with not much Capital, it might be one of the best option.
