Last week after windows booted, popup a UAC prompt for fsavailux.exe. It scheduled a chkdsk on next restart, found a few bad sectors. There was issue with chrome browser, cannot load any website. Found that a few of the chrome files cannot copy during backup. Solved by uninstalled chrome, deleted the folders and reinstall chrome.
Run chkdsk /f /r a few times. Event viewer still show that my ssd has a few disk errors event id 7 everyday, The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block. Now has a few warnings, event id 153 The IO operation at logical block address xxxxx for Disk 0 (PDO name: \Device\000000xx) was retried.
The ssd tool report that the drive health is at max, although in SMART there is a few reallocated sector count, about 1100 uncorrectable error count.
My question is why still have errors after the ssd had reallocated the bad sector? Will a secure erase fix the problem?
