No to both.

It's weird because Face ID just suddenly stops working for whatever reason. It works great then the next time I unlock my phone the lock refuses to open and I have to enter my passcode. Tried again and same, passcode. Restarted device and it's back to normal.

Hope it's a software issue...

did u update to 11.1? my X came with 11.0.1

Not sure if device fault or iOS, but Face ID is rather unstable at times. Sometimes will just outright fail to recognise my face, then must force restart then it’ll be back to normal

This is the first device that I had to restart so many times due to Face ID not working properly at moments.

I did reset Face ID too. To be clear, when Face ID works it works almost everytime but not sure if software is causing it sometimes it just refuses to work.
I noticed tat when u tap on the screen to wake up the phone n if u didnt direct to yr face fast enough, faceid will fail n prompt u for pasword. U just direct the phone to yr face n give it 1-2 sec, it shld unlock

LPT: If Face ID doesn’t recognize your face, don’t reposition your face so it will accept it. Instead, type in the passcode so it will ad that position of your face to the accepted data set.

https://images.apple.com/business/docs/FaceID_Security_Guide.pdf
Conversely, if Face ID fails to recognize you, but the match quality is higher than a certain threshold and you immediately follow the failure by entering your passcode, Face ID takes another capture and augments its enrolled Face ID data with the newly calculated mathematical representation.

real or not we will have to wait and see.

Hi, just asking a question, does anyone feel that the sleep/wake button and volume button is 'looser' compared to previous editions? Just wondering if its the same for everyone or just my set that is like this?

one way as usual is to go Apple Store and try the demo to compare.

Anyone of you encountering issues like unable to back-up your 256GB iPhone X to your MacBook Air where they keep prompting iTunes unable to back-up due to not enough space on your computer?

Phone is only having around 50+ GB used space, laptop has 100GB free space...

Anyone encounter this issue?

Had this a few months back. Solved by removing all mp3 inside my phone. Resynced and fixed.

Your ringtone should by default located at iTunes media folder, open that folder and find your ringtone (max at 40sec)

Connect iPhone to iTunes and click on your phone and on the left column menu select “Tones” label and drag and drop your ringtone from media folder into iTunes and press sync

OMG I just realised that the ring tone stops when you lift up the X to look at who is calling.
