If you have dealt with apple before regarding production, they have the strictest standard by any company, all the way down to the packaging. They control everything from manpower down to the process of the production.

There is no way they would reduce the accuracy of the sensor to meet production volume.

If upon placing an pre-order on 27th Oct and I see that the ship date is weeks after the release date of 3rd Nov, does Apple allow the order to be canceled ? I am needing the iphone X as a gift for a birthday on 5th Nov =(

apple’s tolerances are usually well above the published data limits.

That might be true when Jobs were still around.

compromising a little will still meet its world class standards.

If having that kind of mindset, soon it will drop to 3rd world standard

Pre order and do self collection in Apple orchard store. The date will be there for you to see before check out.

And go inside have to find one person, he/she have to go in take out the phone etc, then u open and check etc...

During the iPhone 8 launch and the Series 3 launch, there’s 2 queues. One is for walk in and another is for pick up.

I went for the pickup option and there will be someone to ‘pick you up’ when you approach the front of the queue. Allow them to scan your order details and etc. and they will bring your product to you.

erm, tomorrow is apple store (online) pre-order leh, not telcos.

Apple's pre-order is tomorrow, not telcos'. From past experiences, telcos' pre-order will be during the week when sales start.
