the yellowish tint after activating true tone is normal. it’s sensing your ambient light to determine optimum white point.

Agreed however it seems to be stuck on the yellow tint, which is my issue. When compared to an iPad Pro side by side, you can tell that True Tone is not working as it is supposed to. Have linked a video here too highlighting it. An oled calibration is probably needed

Hmm I realised if I turn up the brightness the yellowish tint is almost gome (without True Tone).

Anyway there's another annoying problem - when I'm typing, I find that the flesh below my left thumb keeps accidentally hitting the globe to change language. Have to consciously avoid that area :s22:

Just finished my Genius Bar appointment for yellowish tint on screen. Apparently the staff were briefed today about the OLED issue and were instructed to check for distinct yellow vertical lines across the screen. Only then can they do a replacement for you. The specialist ran a series of diagnostic tests on my phone to check the responsiveness and sensitivity. After that she said nothing wrong with my phone. I went to look at their demo sets and their screens seem similar to mine. Went to iStudio to look as well and their set seems less yellowish.

Oh well guess I'll stick to my current phone as it isn't that bad :/

Thanks for the update. Seems that we will have to be stuck with this issue at least for a while.

Back up your whatsapp on android. Then restore in iOS, all using whatsapp.

Hi need advice on transferring whatsapp chats from Android to iPhone. Read online that the recommended one is the paid software backuptrans.

Are there any alternatives or free softwares? TIA

dont buy the software until you tried out the trial one and proofs working. I was using this trial to transfer my whatsapp but apparently it could not recognise my mi max. Yes, i do know how to enable file transfer using USB. i guess it may be due to my mi max installed with the developer software.

Having used iPhones since 3gs, I found that every year when I upgrade, the new screen will always look much more yellow compared to the 1 year phone.

Came to the conclusion that the screen will turn less yellowish with use, for everytime I upgrade, the old phone which was yellowish at first will become white
