Nvidia either try to force them to sell more pointless 4xxx chips or refuse their request for much lower volume after years of one sided bullying... Nvidia is known for being a douche to their partners after all and even destroying some. An example is the GPP.

The market for GPU AIB cards are getting smaller each cycle. Eventually IGP or mobile GPUs will be more than sufficient for most people's gaming needs, so I guess better to stop now to minimize the loss and focus on other products that generate more profit. Seems like EVGA is earning a lot more from their other component business like PSU business so we might see they expand their offering.

1. played out MS for Xbox gpu
2. burn bridge with Apple
3. burn bridge with BFG, XFX and now the biggest partner of all..EVGA
4. burn bridge with Sony over PS3 gpu

on a side note, ARM will get screwed long term thanks to the attempted takeover by Nvidia, some of the ARM customers are working to transit from ARM to RISCV in the long run to prevent themselves being held hostage by a competitor
