Changed SGD 3K and get back NT 72444 on Monday noon time.

Rate is 24.148

Now worried as it was a mistake made by the DBS officer.
The rate he quoted in the form was only 23.84.

I was at DBS on Monday noon time also and the rate was 23.86. I think you are lucky. Hahah. Anyway still much better than changing in Singapore. Even in Taiwan NT to Jap Yen rate is much better than SG to Yen in Singapore. I intend to change SGD to NT in DBS and go to Taiwan Bank to change to Yen for my coming Japan trip. Calculate yesterday, if i change 1K SGD, i can get 700 yen more as compare to change in Singapore.

Likely the officer see the "Sell" rate instead of the "Buy" when he count the $$$.

Maybe he is new, as he counted the $$$ also got technical error.

I should be receiving NT 72K++ so when he 1st time count $$$, got 73 pieces of NT 1K when he use the machine to count. So he went back to his seat, recount and bring back to the machine and count....

What happen??? Now got 74 pieces of NT 1K.....Siao liao...Damn Blur!!!

3rd time then got it correct (but still wrong as reading the wrong rate)...

just for fun I calculated the best margin offered by money changers here for SG to YEN and its 0.32%. You tell me that you are going to change SGD to NTD and go another place to change NTD to JPY, so double commissions taken by 2 different banks and you think you'll get a lower margin than 0.32%...

haha very funny and a lot of walk for nothin

Don't you know that there is no handling fees for DBS TW and TW bank only charges one time payment of NT30? At least I know what I am doing. Thanks for your great concern.

Furthermore, i do not have to walk. I have a bike in Taiwan.

Maybe your face is already on the bank wanted list. Next time when you go back, they will ask you to return the money.
