Nope. Mostly ppl go arcade then can shun bian collect freebies from chevron.

Our driver recommended going to a nearby taiwan bank to change but found a DBS branch nearby too.

Is there a diff between

1) exchange sgd to twd between the 2 banks?

2) withdrawing at the DBS ATM vs exchanging at the bank? (They're at the same place anyway)

Asking mainly in terms of rates or admin fees etc.

1)Check the bank rates online.
2)withdrawal no charges but then at Sg bank rates or Taiwan bank rates? No idea at this moment as most prefer cold hard cash to change in Taiwan DBS bank.

Going Taiwan this Wednesday night and yet to change NTD because the rate right now very lousy. I've check online and call almost all the money changer in Chinatown and Arcade, the best quote was 23.43. Hence, I believe changing at TTIA or at any Taiwan/DBS bank should be better.

Change here ba. That side not too favourable for you at airport. So better you change here.

But it's very difficult to get good rates here. I've check DBS Taiwan website, their rates are the best. Maybe I wait till Wednesday afternoon and check around locally.

The big IF is if you make it to DBS bank and on your way out. If not airport should not even be your consideration.
