I managed to withdraw from dbs Taipei at end august without any problems though. And yup, no charges.

Maybe my friend nv activate her overseas magnetic strip. If exchange rate follow DBS Taiwan, then it's quite worth it to draw at ATM instead.

Wow, getting worse. I think use credit card rates better. I spent quite abit using my cc in kaohsiung, just checked my cc bill, the rates ranged between 21.6-21.8 sia. But only those malls and restaurant can use, if u go night market kind need cash le

Yea I was able to withdraw cash from dbs bank using my POSB atm card. Just ensure you activate the magnetic strip for overseas use like what the rest had mentioned.

Unless there're issues like what some had stated, else withdrawing $$$ ain't a prob.

I was able to use ocbc card to withdraw money from another local atm too for emergency case. FYI la ha ha. Just take note of the extra charges for such cases.

Nope, still based on their rates for withdrawal from atm.

Can check if there got any SCB atm? Since local exchange rate not good will change in Taiwan. Is the DBS atm rate better than the money changer?

There is no risk at all if you have other currencies on hand like what calkel said.

Even if you do not have cash in other currencies, worse come to worst you can use your credit card too, to withdraw from ATMs (with exorbitant charges and interest rates, of course).
