Check in hotel,pay by credit card, on the slip there 2 rates, sin n twd.asking me which currency to paid.tick the twd.
Curious is when I make the booking the rates is sgd876 (19638twd), but paying at the hotel here is 952(19638)..

Check the bank acc and revised the charges to $907,..with the bank exchange rates at 21.6..

I just got back from Taiwan. I manage to w/draw NT$10,000 but it was a linked Master/POSB everyday card. The rate I got was S$462 for NT$10,000(so only 21.6) Write to the bank and they say because mine is a linked card. Kindly use only ATM card else good luck. Luckily for me bank wavier the fees 22$ and interest.

correct me if im wrong, but i dont think you should use "pegged" this way.
more like DBS TW offers the highest rate, thats all.
banks set their exchange rates daily, from the standard mid-market rate. Different banks offer different rates because they have different profit margins.

You got to do your math against the counter at Airport.
No one knows at what rate you did your exchange.
