I was always under the impression that withdrawing from overseas ATM is not attractive due to poorer exchange rate, and possibly additional fees. It's something I have not done ever. So far still found it ok to bring sufficient cash along...
Maybe I should find out more and update my knowledge :)

Asked before. lady oso told me no idea. Maybe i should call up DBS TW and ask during my next trip.

What off peak time is the best to go tw bank to exchange $$? Same as sg? 9-11 am and 2-4 pm?

no worries wan. I went in machiam no customers.
think their locals trust their own local bank.

so DBS can hit houseflies.

it was known tat there was 5$ sgd charge for withdrawal from atm. unless u dun noe.

only over the counter at dbs taiwan bor charge.
Trying to answer a frequent question here on overseas ATM withdrawal and exchange rate used. Knew about the $5 charge, no choice as run out of NT$ on a weekend and need cash on hand instead of depending only on credit card.

DBS Taiwan is the highest among all..Even Megabank/BOT is higher than what you would get in SG..
Yap. Even their smaller local banks can offer rather attractive rates. So do exchange when u want not when you need. If kena weekend, then no way to change except to use card.

Yes, if you have the time to locate the DBS banks to get the best of the rates. If not maybe will be those banks/money changers at e airport.

Airport rate better than sg arcade? Always known to me that airport has the worst exchange rate..
