Do i need to activate the oversea usage on my card before going to dbs for withdrawal? Withdraw is over at the counter or using their ATM? no sub charge?

Also, if i decided to bring spare cash there instead, easy to find money changer there?

i think still need to activate ur overseas authority on ur card.
withdraw at DBS ATMS is FOC. but withdraw using TW ATMs is $5SGD svr charge per usage

not easy to find money changer n the rates can b worst than sg

Withdraw in taiwan dbs atm no extra charge right?

no extra charge but rate kns.

i withdrew 20k ntd and was charged approx $863. means rate is 23.17.

curious. this rate refers to
1. SGD cash >> change over the counter?
2. bank balance >> change over the counter?

Cash over the counter..

Anything that involves moving money from one country to another via electronic means will incurred charges..
