Is it worthwhile to change in Taiwan? Got alot of money changer around?

Nope, not alot..

You can either change at Megabank or Bank of Taiwan at the Airport..Once you're in the city, only banks..Best is DBS Taiwan..Best rate of all.

The official money changers are banks and major shopping malls. You do not see money changers around anywhere. Perhaps due to licensing etc.

So either change in Singapore arcade or Taiwan DBS. Airport rates in Taiwan is a passé, can forget about doing that .

Megabank(See 2nd column)
23.47
Megabank

Bank of Taiwan(Cash>Buying: 1st column)
23.41
Bank of Taiwan

Both above is at Taoyuan Intl Airport. NT$30 admin charges per transaction..

DBS Taiwan(4th Column)
23.817
DBS Taiwan

Traditionally if SG(Local) changers is offering above 23.xx then Taoyuan Rates wont be so attractive. If SG side goes below 23 then Taoyuan would usually be slightly better..

But nothing beats DBS Taiwan if you have the time to go change. Just change abit locally and a bulk of it there.
