If you use CASH, rate is 23.496

Megabank - 23.16(Updated as of 1600H 14/11/2014)
Bank of Taiwan - 23.11(Updated as of 1604H 14/11/2014)
DBS Taiwan - 23.49(Updated as of 2150H 14/11/2014)

And not forgetting both exchange at the airport has a admin charge of NT$30 per transaction..

Unless it's not convenient to find a DBS branch there then either change at The Arcade if the rates is good or change at Taoyuan Airport..

Indeed the difference of arcade/chinatown to taoyuan airport/taiwan dbs is as much as 0.4 or even 0.5! Considerably alot of money(rough est ntd450 per thousand$) if we the consumers are changing in thousands haha. (Being charged ntd30 is duh better than lugi ntd450 tio bo) if change 2k 3k lugi even more haha.

That being said, from what I read in this thread the diff of taoyuan intl airport and taiwan dbs is 0.0xx. So I'd probably just, for convenience sake, change at taoyuania after touch down.

Difference now is NT$0.30..

Usually around 0.3-0.4 mark..Another NT$300-$400 more as compared to Airport Forex if change by S$1k..

Typically Arcade would be lower when the rates at Taoyuan is around 23+ abit..But u might find Arcade to be slightly higher if not the same when the rates at Taoyuan is around 23.6

2 yrs back, yes, but not now. 2yrs back, the taoyuan airport rates are even better than singapore. i think in taiwan today, dbs taiwan has the best rates.
