Was hoping can climb to last yr rates
Was 23.1 or 23.2..
Then just 1 week before i fly, MAS sudden announce regulate sgd the rates laosai to 22.4

Got 23.1 liao

was reading through some pages in this thread, in preparation for my trip in late Feb'16

is it safe to say that not all banks in Taiwan will buy SGD, and even for those banks that buy SGD, there may be a processing fee (like their money changer)? in which case, there isn't really much difference between getting the exchange done at airport money changer, versus holding out and find banks to exchange?

Don't forget about the opening hours too. You may be at Tainan over the weekend, where the banks would likely be closed.

Buying TWD in Taiwan

Based on the website here, is it correct that the exchange rate is 1 sgd to 23.11 twd?

The procedure is simply to walk into the bank with SGD in cash and change at the counter? What are the bank opening hours like there?

Will the rate at the airport be the same as the rate offered at other domestic branches there?

Yes, rates are right.
Proceed to the bank with your passport.
Banking hours are like 8 till 4.

Yeah DBS have 2 outlets in Tainan region but location kinda awkward for me, I'll probably change a small amount @ airport and then look out for BOT or Megabank in Tainan
