Exercise Lancer in Brunei do what?

Going there after CNY for Ex Lancer.
Any pointers?
What to bring,what to do?
Like tips on what to bring to make life a 'little easier' ?

Honestly,i don't even know why i need go there....
I from support Mortar,our sgt say go there do a bit of navex,chiong sua then become enemies for our rifle coy....
I'm like 'WTF....',i rather stay and join courses in Sg.
I consider myself rather fit,but is it really very xiong?????

I only know that insects there are like mutated one and activites end at 5pm,other than that im clueless...

U dun need to know why u need to go there, as long as they feel u need is good enuf reason for u to go there already.

also well this is army, u dun get to choose what u rather even if u prefer to stay and join courses in sg

Brunei training indeed quite shiong... after that R&R is boring.
What to bring you should know from your PC/Sergt.
What to do is as per what ur sgt says... be glad ur not in rifle coy.
Make life easier? Can bring more money spend at canteen.

Mount Biang is nothing frankly. Climbing it is easy. It's walking along it's ridgeline that's tiring. Anyway, heard Biang's already not part of the program.

Anyway, you'll get very much acquainted with Spiderhole and Batu Apoy

Lancer is not really very xiong. Just damn sian. Went there as a trainee early last year. Biang is very easy. Telugong is the 1 that is a pain in the ass. Don't worry too much. Lakuin camp food generally quite nice. I only scared need to go second time as a scout trainer. Once enough alr

Crescendo is worst than Brunei in my opinion in terms of environment. Really miserable. Hot. Humid. Vegetation out to kill you. Rnr not bad. Can take taxi go where you want.

Lakiun can be equally hot and humid in the day and then rain at night, no heli-insert, need to walk in.


Yes in Lancer, rifle coys more xiong, scouts will do their swamp walk and navex. Mortar go be enemy, still better life than rifle coy, no need to walk, water forever enough and can cook your food. Go there sleep more in outfield than in the bunk.

Navex can helmets off and use GPS.

Having been to both, I persinally feel Brunei is easier. It's hot yes but it can rain in the afternoon making it a bit more cooling. 5 days out of my 9 in jcc rained. Rain is welcome change as long as u know field discipline
