Hi, anyone tried to purchase flight over Expedia Singapore website?
Are they reliable?
I’m thinking to get a cheap flight to Shanghai next month and Expedia seemed to offer the cheapest.

Thanks

I have boycotted Expedia becos they double-charged me on my credit card when I booked a beijing flight and after endless calls and email to them...they never refunded me back. No more Expedia for me. Use it at your own risk!

Are you trying to book budget airline flight via Expedia? If yes, my advice - don't. That applies to any other OTA as well.

If something goes wrong you have to deal with the Expedia/OTA instead of the airline.

I had a horror story when my flight on LH to FRA which was booked via expedia was moved to different flight segment and it completely screwed up my ITIN. I called LH and they refused to help me telling that I have to do it via Expedia. I called expedia and they were closed. At the end it took 4 days and 3h of calls to get my original ITIN back.

i use Expedia for my krabi trip for the first time. no issue at all. Flight was smooth and no extra charges.

You can use shopback to get your some money back especially for hotel but very less for flight. can use my refer code nAXNTK

Expedia is useful for people who are first time travelers, or first time traveling after a long period of time. It takes a lot of the hassle out of booking airline tickets, and hotel rooms, and most of the time, it is cheaper.

Do you guys think Expedia’s offer is better and cheaper than the own carriers itself??

my recent travel booking done via expedia also had some minor error. I got charged an extra SGD$7. Only found out after checking the charges done on my CC, but they rectified it after I emailed to notify them about the error.

if using expedia, better check and double check.

Have used zuji and expedia to book air tickets before ...
So far no extra charges incurred other than the price stated on their website ...

Why not direct?
Their fare sometimes are few dollars cheaper than direct website ...
in addition, sometimes they have their own discounts ...

shopback for flight i think is 0.5% or 1% only ... not much also.
however still better than never use shopback ...

Have fly with Expedia many times so far no major issue and get to earn points to offset next trip on TOP of flight and hotel membership points.

Expedia and zuji do have their own selection of hotels and flights do compare both and see which suit better
