I called them up today just to seek clarifications. Only to get shouted at by a rep with a thick Indian accent (from India) whenever I couldn't understand him. I was polite throughout the whole phone call just so he wouldn't think bad of us. No he did not apologise by the end of the call.

so far my experience with them was good.
you might wanna call them to complain or write in? not sure ...

yes there is DCC ... you can try writing in to seek a waiver :)

so far good experience with Expedia wrt FULL refunds for cancellations (no conversion spread), DCC waivers & Best Price Guarantee claim. Prompt response.

Hi, it seesm there is al least a few promotion for DBS card alone and got a bit confused.

Earn up to 8 miles/S$1 spend on Expedia bookings!
https://www.dbs.com.sg/personal/promotion/altitude-expedia

10% off Expedia.com hotel bookings
https://www.posb.com.sg/personal/promotion/cards-offer-expediadec

Enjoy additional 10% off hotel bookings with your DBS cards!
https://www.expedia.com.sg/dbs?mdpcid=sg.direct.dbs.cobrandauto

While MasterCard itself can "Enjoy additional 12% off hotel bookings"
https://www.expedia.com.sg/couponsi...=sg.direct.mastercard.cobrandauto#BinCodeView

So which is which? any gimmick or not? :s22:

Of course they are, they are one of the biggest out there. Booked countless hotel nights with them. Remember to use shopback to get some money back =)

That's true, Expedia is probably the biggest Online Travel Agency in the world.

Depends what you are after. Expedia is good for max returns on CC. Agoda is partner with just about every credit card there is. Hotels.com gives free night stay per 10 night stays and so on.

Depending on hotel or any hotel listed with them ?

free hotel nite is based on
total average prices of 10 nites (excluding taxes)

for example:
if you book 10x 5* hotels @ $ 100 per nite in bangkok
taxes is around $12 per nite
so you entitled discount of $ (88*10)/10 = $ 88 for any hotels.com hotel

hotels.com is good for those booking hotels that voucher are not entitled :)

Expedia pricing is usually same as the Airline. I use them purely for credit card promotions, if not I look at other travel agencies.

is same or slightly cheaper or more expensive :)
been through lots of bookings ...
air tickets by expedia overall is cheaper . sometimes cheaper than direct booking ... however, sometimes their price might be more expensive than other ota

How does the points work? I got points but it says pending for those complere travels. Is it must submit review then will have points?

Earn 20 points per SG$15 spent on hotels, packages with a hotel, and activities.

20 points from $ 15 spent.
You need to get 3500 points to redeem $ 25 voucher.

hence you need to spent $ 2625 to get $25 ...

their point system basically not very attractive. prefer to perform BPG ...
