Upon my friend's recommendation, I booked a flight via expedia. The amount shown at the checkout and the price indicated on my credit card statement shows an increase of $15!! I have called them but was put on hold for half an hour. You can try at your peril but my experience really is terrible...

that is for credit card charges.

Note that expedia singapore payment system is link to oversea bank. Certain credit card may charged "cross border charge" If the payment system is linked to oversea bank instead of local one. I kana extra cc charges when i charge to my ANZ card when i purchased my US tickets.

Do not EVER book with Expedia. Their customer service is really, really, really bad. If you have problems with your booking, do not count on them to help you. Endless phone calls, countless emails will only give you standard replies without solving your problem. You will only end up with frustration. Not worth it. The agent made a spelling name error on my family ticket. After 3 weeks of frustrating calls and emails, they asked me to pay reissuance fee US20 for the name change. They say they will refund me back. Siiggghhh! I am sooo not looking forward to calling and emailing them again. So well, you have been warned.

I agree that expedia customer service is really bad. Numerous calls to them and problem still not resolved. They keep referring the problem to another customer service agent and say will call back but they never did. I sent email to them but they reply and ask me to call in again. Really frustrating.

Expedia Singapore has one of the worst after sales service. My ticket was cancelled just an hr before I was supposed to check in as Expedia did not issue my ticket to the airline. Called their helpline and they could not do anything. No one took the initiative to call me to apologise or follow up even though I requested for someone to call me. Had to chase them for refund and it is still taking weeks to process. Compensation for new ticket unsettled as well.

Their customer service keeps transferring me from one dept to another and the supervisor failed to call me back even though he promised to.

They are the worst you can get!
