Conducted some interesting tests today...
the Vbios TDP is 300w so 175% power limit translates to around 530W on load that my gpu is drawing.
This is at core speed of 1398mhz stable however, simply increasing the core by two steps from +300 to +302, the core clock on load becomes 1411mhz oddly
boost is disabled on this vbios so im quite puzzled since the core clock stepping isnt pro-rated
Also by simply increasing the core clock to 1411 I have to increase vcore to 1.45v to stabilise it.
However, that increases my power draw to around 212% TDP which is roughly 640W!!!
To put that in perspective 530W is enough to power a normal OCed GTX 780 Ti with 4770K
My GPU ALONE is drawing that power alone
I can push it further but at 1435mhz core my GPU is drawing over 800w
This is why I need a 1200W PSU
