Dear All Experts!

Please kindly advice me what to do with my KF 32692 miles that is expiring end of September 2016?

I am base in Singapore and have no intention to fly anytime soon.

Is it true that it is more worth it to upgrade to business class using miles if you purchase an star alliance members flight economy class tickets?

Thank you all in advance! God Bless!

1) Spend them on Krisshop
2) Get 1 way flight, if it fits your itinerary, the purchase the other 1 way flight, whichever is cheaper.
3) Upgrade on star alliance members requires you to buy Y, B fares, which are the two most expensive fare classes in economy. Usually people do not buy those fares. Upgrading on SQ would require slightly lower fare classes (I think is Y, B, E), plus 15% discount for applying upgrade online.

redeem a 1-way business to HK or Shanghai or Perth maybe ? ... U r just short 1400 miles for 1way business to Japan ... choose a location with many flights by many airlines, where you can get a cheap 1-way ticket fare

i believe redemption ticket is flexible on subsequent date changes, subject to availability

Do take into account ticket validity (think is 6 months or 1 year). Plus TS cannot do any changes that will require canceling and rebooking, as the miles would have their original expiry dates.

so say, if I redeem an award ticket to travel in Dec16 (with 6mth validity), means I can change date of travel between Dec16 to Jun17 ?

thanks

I believe the ticket is valid for up to 1 year from date of travel. Better check on SQ website. There will be change fees involved as well.

My total KF miles 70103, so redeem a business class air ticket from Tokyo back to Singapore is the most worth it deal?

I wish to enjoy the longest flight time on business class cabin on any star alliance flights, any recommendation?

Thank you all in advance! God bless!

Then try get the SIN - SFO non-stop one way in business class (68k miles after 15% discount). Then buy another 1 way ticket back in economy. Longest single flight time, but not total flight time (ie SIN - XXX - LAX will be longer).

This is good idea. But advise you fly there on economy and come back in business. Since can "relax and enjoy" on the way back + more luggage allowance.

Er, usually, you can get cheaper one-way fares back to SIN as opposed to out from SIN. Also, if you are *G, you get the same lounge in SFO / US, but at SIN, with business class ticket, you get SKL, but for *G, you only get the Krisflyer Gold lounge.

Thank you Fone! May I ask what is *G? I am only basic KF member, if *G mean Krisflyer Gold.

*G means star alliance gold, or some sort of lounge access, if you have. Anyway, I'd prefer SIN Silver Kris Lounge (business class) over any US lounge.
