I never bought export set with international warranty before. I assume the warranty is recognised in Singapore apple store? will there b any difference claiming warranty for export set iPhones?

International warrenty..??? Dont think so bro. Iphone don't have international warrenty. Even you get from JB, you still have to bring to malaysia for service.

i think all apple products comes with international warranty. that time i at singtel and a guy's phone was bought from US and singtel still exchange for him.
still, the warranty are subject to region and countries regulation.

someone told me that u can claim warranty but need to provide the receipt of purchase from the country u bought from. But there is another problem, the export set is from china, they said china's iPhone that is CDMA supported while ours is GSM supported. so china iphone will not be compatible with our 4G network

Is that true? I not too expert in this

I think it is more complicated than that.

There are multiple telcos in China. Unicom uses the same 3G technology (W-CDMA) as S'pore. China Mobile uses a different 3G technology (TDMA). And there is China Telecom which uses yet another 3G standard.

not advisable to get export set, don't know if really can claim warranty
alternatively, ask the seller to meet you at apple service centre at wheel lock
so that you can verify on the spot.

quote from apple

IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

YOU SHOULD MAKE PERIODIC BACKUP COPIES OF THE INFORMATION CONTAINED ON THE APPLE PRODUCT STORAGE MEDIA TO PROTECT THE CONTENTS AND AS A PRECAUTION AGAINST POSSIBLE OPERATIONAL FAILURES.

Before receiving warranty service, Apple or its agents may require that you furnish proof of purchase details, respond to questions designed to assist with diagnosing potential issues and follow Apple's procedures for obtaining warranty service. Before submitting your Apple Product for warranty service you should maintain a separate backup copy of the contents of its storage media, remove all personal information that you want to protect and disable all security passwords.
