Expressway Pass

Hello all,

I have been reading up on the expressway pass and have particularly been keen in the JEP pass.

Have any one used it before?

Does it really save cost?

How do you navigate the routes with the specific expressway that is in the map.

Any one knows if JEP covers all expressways in Jap or some expressway need to pay more.

i've used a KEP before for a two day drive from Kumamoto to Oita and Fukuoka. Well worth it.

you mentioned that is is well worth it, in terms of time or cost?

But how do you know which roads to use?

As there are some roads which KEP doesnt cover.

in terms of cost. i rent it for about Y3500 (two days) and i can use all expressways in Kyushu. how do i know which road to use? i don't know actually. i just google map all the way and use expressways when possible. it just happened that all the expressways that i used are covered with the pass.

There was one stretch, iirc, from beppu back to fukuoka area, i used a long stretch of expressway and the bill came up to Y3xxx. so plus all other usage, it was definitely well over Y3500 in toll.
