Apologies if this has already been sloved, i tried searching but none match the symptoms of my harddisk.
I have a WD 2 TB hard drive, the drive is able to spin up and able to open immediately upon plugging in. I can see the files in the hard disk but is unable to open even a 40kb file. Copying files will start for 2secs and drops to 0bytes/s. I do hear faint click sound.
Is there anything worth to try before going down to simlim to get slaughtered?
